About this product

A 13 ft carp rod with a 3.5 lb test curve, designed for long-distance casting. Its blank is made from high-modulus 30-ton Japanese carbon, with 45° multidirectional reinforcement and minimal resin. A CAD-optimised fast-taper design supports rapid recovery. The progressive action is described as providing security when playing fish. The reel seat is 58 cm from the butt end. Features include American Tackle Vortex Air guides, a matt-black American Tackle aluminium reel seat, a 50 mm double-leg starting guide followed by a 40 mm double-leg guide, 30–16 mm single-leg guides with a 16 mm anti-tangle tip guide, a low-profile carbon butt stop, carbon line clip, split Japanese shrink-wrap handle and matt-black whippings. The stated optimum casting weight is 2.5–4 oz.
